How does the scanning work?
Each printed photo is recognised by the Nokoru app itself — the image is the link. There are no QR codes or markers on the page, so the book stays clean and timeless.
What do I need to scan a book?
Just the free Nokoru app on iPhone, iPad or Android. With AirPlay you can also play any moment on your TV, in original resolution.
What if I don't have a video for every photo?
That’s fine. Pages without a paired video are simply beautiful printed photographs. You choose which moments come alive.
Can I build my book on my phone?
Not yet. Books are built on a computer at build.nokoru.app — choosing photos and pairing videos deserves a big screen. Your phone’s job is scanning the finished pages. On your phone now? Use the “email me the link” box at the bottom of the home page and we’ll send it for when you’re at a desk.
Does playback need internet every time?
No. Once you’ve scanned a page, that moment caches to your phone so it plays instantly next time — handy for showing the book around the kitchen table or on a flight with no signal.
